ISSUE EXPERIENCED

Was playing with 1-2 other friends on xbox, doing various gamemodes. We wanted to see how we would do against stronger AI’s .
Game will crash and go back to the home screen.
NOTE: none of us had any mods enabled.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does the issue occur? CHOSE ONE; DELETE THE REST!
- 90% of the time / matches I play (ALMOST ALWAYS)
(we managed to play one 5 min match as a test)
REPRODUCTION STEPS
List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!
It’s very unclear… Play hosted games with other people? I’m not sure if it happens with bots or not… Sorry for the lack of info. Maybe someone else who has a lead can reply their theory if they are running into the same thing?
EXPECTED RESULT
What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
When you reload the game this message comes up:
“The last game session ended unexpectedly after encountering an error. Your mods have been temporarily disabled. Would you like to re-enable your mods? (mods may cause unexpected errors.)”
NOTE: none of us had any mods enabled.
2 out of the 3 times this happened the game didn’t make an automatic restore file. One time everyone but one person crashed, and they got one of those automatic restore files. But when they attempt to load it their game crashes. 
I think he said he got a strange message on his screen as well when the rest of us crashed, but i’ll have to ask and see if he remembers what it said (he prob won’t remember)

Unfortunately, when a game crashes on xbox, you can’t tell the built in DVR to “record the last x amount of time”. So, it’s impossible to get a recording

Unfortunately, since there’s currently no way for xbox players to extract the Game Recording files, I can’t give you the one automatic restore file I mentioned before

PS.
it happened again on the new update as of 12/13/23. Had 5 people load in, we had fun with diplomacy. first time we had fun as a group on this god forsaken game, and MY game crashes, and no one Elses. (the auto saves on disconnect is secretly corrupted). everyone backed out so they could load the save and all it does is crash their fucking game. we lost 3 hours of diplomacy match.
when i loaded in, the game gave me the same message about mods. i am literally not subscribed to any of the shitty background image replacement “mods” for xbox. I have no mods. why is this happening, and do we have to wait another 2 weeks for the next update?
