Xbox Seires X replays "Finished replaying game" after a few seconds

Xbox series X replays are stopping after 14-37 seconds and saying “Finished replaying game”. This issue DOES NOT happen to my Xbox one S. I already did most of the default troubleshooting; ( - The replays are NOT from a different version of the game, and are brand new. - The games ARE being recorded and replayed on the same console (I’M NOT recording a game on Xbox Seires X and trying to watch it on xbox one S, or vice versa) - and all narrator settings have been turned off.)
I suspect this started around the time I synced my gameplay on xbox series x TO the xbox one S (but im not 100% sure if that’s the cause). *

For me I record any game I just played, and the replay always ends after 14-37 seconds.

I suspect it might have something to do with the Xbox Synching data between the Xbox Series X and Xbox One S.

This entire issue started after I tried playing the game on my profile on the Xbox one S and it synched the data.
((Disclaimer: The replays in question (all of them) are recorded and played on the Xbox Seires X, and NOT THE Xbox One S.))

What was supposed to happen? the replay should replay the match it recorded, not just the first 14-17 seconds.

None of the steps on this website showed how to send a save game file from the xbox version of the game (i cant go into the xbox’s files for obvious reasons)

I have the same issue since the last update and I play on Series S. No problems before the update and the strange thing is that recorded games against ai do play all the way, its only the multiplayer games that stop after a few seconds

It still occurs for me too.

I’ve had more time to live with this glitch and I have more information to provide:

(all of the following have been tested on the following consoles: Xbox Series X, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X.)
(I also want to destress the focus of the post on my idea of it being in relation to syncing the console)


  • Watching Single Player Replays (campaign, skirmish): Work just as intended.
  • Watching Multiplayer Replays: The replay ends within 15-30 seconds with the message “Finished Replaying Game” .

  • Watching Co-op Campaign replays: The replay ends within 15-30 seconds with the message “Finished Replaying Game”


Time for some troubleshooting disclaimers/ miscellaneous info

This is still happening on Version 101.102.17051.0

No Players are disconnecting mid-match in any of the replays, so it’s NOT the result of someone disconnecting.

Conclusion for the time being:
This just really sucks because I feel rewatching replays is a keyway to learn how you may have messed up and how to improve yourself in the future. If I choke a match, i’d like to save the replay and watch it back to see where I went wrong, but this 15-30 second replay ending thing for multiplayer games is a massive killer for this. Hope the devs can find a way to fix it. Also, if there ARE ways I can provide replay files/data on the xbox version of the game, I’d happily do it .
