You know what is REALLY annoying?

Why is it my horse guys CAN NEVER EVER CATCH THEIR HORSE GUYS???

If I’ve got a guy on a horse, Knight, Scout, WHATEVER, it can never catch their scout.

NEVER.

Why is that?

Cavalry units stop to attack. Your opponent doesn’t stop and keeps running.

If they have the same movement speed, then it will take a while, such as Scout vs Scout. However Knights, Horsemen have a charge attack which can occasionally increase their movement speed to secure hits. Horsemen are also faster than Knights and Scouts, meaning they can get more hits in and also outrun both of them when escaping.

There are also tricks to throwing Cavalry off course. When one enters a Stealth forest while being chased, the lack of vision may cancel attack commands as there is no target in sight.

You know what is even more annoying? Villagers outrunning cavalry. Since when do people run faster than horses?

Lol, nope. Just a common sense person. When playtesting their own game before launch or the years since, how did they not see it as a problem that when you send 50 cavalry and a bunch of barracks units at 100 AI villagers chopping wood in a cluster, that you end up killing only 2 or 3 or them? Not exaggerating. It happened multiple times in my last match or two

I’ve played less than 10 matches and find this ‘feature’ rather annoying. Not only does it look ridiculous, it makes no sense gameplay-wise

All the animations in this game are being run through a molasses filter, so it goes hand-in-hand with that.

The only reason to chase a scout is to find out where the AI’s town center is.
