Is it possible that in recent updates the zoom out has become closer?
I took some screenshots and it looks like you used to be able to zoom out further a few months ago.
My computer has always supported 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Are you using UHD (enhanced graphics) to play? That halves your effective max zoom and doubles your min zoom.

That’s literally it. If you have UHD on you get less max zoom, more min zoom, and higher resolution graphics. If you have it off you get more max zoom, less min zoom, and lower res graphics. Oh, and I guess your game takes up more storage space if you have UHD on, not sure if that counts as it’s not actually gameplay experience related.
