I’ve add the game on “NOT RECOMMENDED” on steam until they fix this 110+ days old bug:

Disconnect after few minutes playing multiplayer (Problem persists after update)

Thanks for sharing your fix. I’ve passed it on to the devs that are investigating to see if it helps them along.
