20% Sale, Koreans and Portuguese

But units are much more expensive on gold, like Monks, Knights or Crossbows, while Skirmishers, Crossbows and Pikes cost most less wood, so the difference is barely noticable. Expect War Wagons on open maps.

Yeah but this is the problem that people have, they think having 20% on wood is so huge but actually it is not like they thinking, you will not save that big amount of wood or having that big difference by having it on siege

You save 15 gold for each knight, 20 gold for each monk, 9 gold for each archer, 27 gold for each mangonel, with all this gold in the bank you can use it by the market to get other resources, feels like Ports now have a market like Saracens market with 20% savings

That is true, but when you play, by the Castle Age you realize that you have lost of Gold from those Vills you just left mining away, while you do not have a lot of Wood around, after dropping all your buildings and Farms.

Gold also gathers faster, so much so that a lot of people do not even research the Shaft Mining anyway.
You only really notice a Gold discount in the Imperial Age.

One mangonel cost 160 wood, so they would save 32 wood per mangonel. Their pikes also cost 20 wood, so with the same wood for an standard mangonel they cover the wood of 1.5 pikes/skirms. This is huge in castle age, where mangos outranange TCs.

Lets see how koreans perform after the patch. If they are still bad I would consider (again) to extend the bonus to siege.

No maybe I wasn’t clear, 20% on units like archers (except CA and WW) and pikes isn’t a big deal, but one siege it is.

They would save 32 wood for each ram and manganel, which is about half of a farm, for early castle age, when you are trying to boom and at the same time you need manganels to defend/push, it’s actually a big bonus.

And again, their late game halbs+SO would be so cheap on wood.
