100%. It’s a Unique building that is uniquely named, has a different resource cost and does something the other Euro Houses don’t - spawn Settlers. It absolutely should get its own model.
I’d still argue that Manor Houses were infrequent compared to typical British houses (such as Cottages) and were far bigger. Even ‘small’ examples such as this early 17th century manor house would struggle to fit the foundations of the current in-game model - if you did manage to squeeze it in, the scaling would be so off!
(Much smaller Manor House here - this one may be a possible fit…)
I always like the idea of Cottages instead of Manor Houses. It’s the quintessentially British house that exists the whole AoE3 timeframe, was the house of the common (rural) folk and would actually be prominient (as the work force) at a Manor’s estate.

I love your idea, I hope the developers take it into account to rework the British manors and, incidentally, I hope they also make some modifications to the British grenadiers and dragoons

OG portraits were made with the graphic limitations in mind, taking into account that they would have to be small images that had to convey a lot of information. New portaits are made by just drawing good. Let me explain: The left image have a cartoon-like quality that lack human proportions but do an excelent job at depicting a guy -who is stern and have some kind of fighting spirit- holding on to his weapon. The rightmost image is better in human proportions and in historical accuracy, but he lacks any real intent behind his actions.

It’s interesting that the later DE unit portraits, especially the Mexican ones, have a much better look to them. I guess maybe the early ones were done as fast as possible because they had to do a portrait for every single unit in the base game before release, but for the later DLCs they could take their time.
