A plan to improve the balance of siege weapons

You just need to compare bombard in aoe2 and 4. In aoe2 bombard are the most expensive unit in the game. They need to research chemistry 1st which takes some time and a lot of civilizations don’t even have bombards.
They are really good at destroying buildings and trebuchets or other siege because unlike them they are mobile and have more range than mangonels. But if you try to use it to kill units good luck, either they are high value unmobile units or you need to micro like hell since the projectile is really slow and a small aoe.
The really big difference is that if the enemy army closes in they are dead. They have 80HP lmao. Even a volley of arrows will kill it. But the thing is its still a used unit.
Now in aoe4 they are better in every way. A lot more HP and units need to use that slow animation Torch to kill them lmao, more damage to units and buildings , destroys entire armies, they are insta available, faster too…

Only way to play TGs now is to rush as if you life depended on it. If you lose at least it won’t be to bombard spam

Winning via the rush is a good time every time it goes well. Big sweaty hands and a Monster energy before each game starts then MI6 style on voice chat to get it all right.
