A Reflection on world’s edge Priorities and the Resilience of aoe3:de,maybe AOMR’s second dlc is Japanese

A few months after cancelling the anticipated DLC for Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition, World’s Edge shifted its focus almost entirely to updates and upcoming content for Age of Mythology:Retold. At the same time, they are release Second DLC for Age of Mythology:retold is Heavenly Spear that clearly do belong in the Japanese’s mythology framework of the game. These decisions raised eyebrows across all AOMR’s community players.

But Meanwhile Now,AOE3:DE—the title they seemingly abandoned without any clear justification, perhaps out of mere disdain for the project-has been consistently doubling the peak daily player numbers of AOM: Retold. And this gap is growing.

We’re no longer talking about close competition; AOE3:DE operates on a higher tier altogether. In fact, AOM: Retold is currently struggling to outperform even the decade-old AOM:Extended Edition At this point, I am convinced that the current direction is driven not by a genuine desire to engage with their communities, but by an insular and prideful mindset that resists listening. The bright side, however, is that AOE3:DE has weathered all of this. Despite neglect, it continues to perform remarkably well for an RTS title and stands as living proof that many of WE’s decisions were misjudged at every level. But whatever do people hope AOE3:DE to make a comeback,Adjust after finishing the AOMR’s dlc back AOE3:DE dlc and update

It doesn’t look Japanese, it looks Chinese. Mobile Chinese.

I hate to be that guy, but the fact that AoMR is available on both consoles means it generates more revenue and has a larger playerbase so Steam numbers don’t tell the whole story.

WE had no interest in porting 3DE to consoles, despite popular request. They showed no desire to increase the playerbase and actively downplayed the game at every opportunity. Some predicted that 3DE going F2P was a clear sign that support would be ending.

I would say it’s the end of functional communication since the two month patch delay.
Back then people called it incompetence. Now we see it was intentional

Edit: and no. It was definitely not “lAcK oF kNoWlEdGE”.

Intentional, you say?

That sounds conspiratorial.

WE don’t allow that here. :upside_down_face:

it’s possible that they will come back after they release the 2nd aom dlc they are legally obligated to release. like, AoE3 is outperfoming it,Aoe3 devs has make to AOM:Retold the second dlc is Japanese mythology civ and yeah, while it’s not the easiest game to relase content for, due to how complex it is with home city cards, it’s still doing quite well,Aoe3 devs has after that comback make to AOE3:DE new dlc, patch and update

Most of ps5 players are not even able to play the game it freezes and crash months now

Reversing any decision would be impossible for a company like WE.
It was equivalent to admitting mistakes. Imagine that.

Unfortunately, I’m inclined to agree. Imo it’s more likely AoMR gets dropped within two years than that AoE3 gets another official patch within the same time.

The AOMR is to game not be popular,The AOE3:DE game is to be popular,The AOMR players Number of people Not comparable AOE3:DE players Number of people but AOE3:DE But I think maybe after AOMR:second DLC finishing it Abandoned AOMR is Unpopular game and Devs to given priority to making AOE3:DE update and dlc

So much imbalance still plagues the game, various bugs, and the whole kitchen sink.

And here we still are with no signs of getting at worst a final patch or at best a small, slow, but dedicated continuation of support.

Holding on to hopes that once all of the DLC things for the other games die down, this one MIGHT pick back up.

Ridiculous.
