A warning for Jin player with the Mounted Villager

For some reason, it does not benefit from the Specialized Pick in Feudal Age and Shaft Mining in Castle Age which the gold collecting tech in age 2 and age 3. Not sure if that is the idea or just a bug but… be careful

Wow, really?

Well, that will be a Bug.

I prove myself and yeah, its a BUG:

Mounted Villager → No techs + 1 minute minning gold → 81-82 gold
Mounted Villager → Specialized Pick + 1 minute minning gold → 81-82 gold

Please devs correct this bug.

Holy shit. And the Bed Crossbow is also bugged. Also still really weak. Where is the patch?

Maybe soon! Idk I just know their exp feels slow initially when making them!

What’s the bug with it?

Bed Crossbow misses many of it’s shots. Seems like a problem with the shots registering. So it loses 1/3 ish of it’s damage. Not as noticeable if massing many later in the game. But early game it is very noticeable. It can be the difference between winning or losing when defending an all in in feudal or early castle age. They need to be more reliable at hitting the enemy.

Edit: Watch this clip. Twitch

Later he also shots at a boar and misses the first 5/6 shots while it charging towards 6 bed crossbows. Twitch

Wellll to be fair, this example ist against single Units. As bedcrossbows are designed against mass infantry, it might be a wanted mechanic, or at least not to bad, If Units next to the targeted unit take the dmg. You know what I mean?

But honestly, I got the feeling that new civs have more and more bugs on relase. Didnt golden hord had multiple bugs and exploits? Id rather enjoy If the devs take more time and release working content instead of fast bugged one.

why this still not fixed?!

Not, not fixed yet.

Perhaps it’s not a bug, and it’s intentional for balance… or perhaps not. They should explain in the civilization’s description whether this lack of bonuses is intentional.

If not, they should… not, they MUST fix the bug.

Edit: I just tested it in a match. They may bring back the same amount, but they bring back more often. I just played a match when having 10 regular workers on gold and I was struggling to keep up with gold; whereas, I don’t have a problem with gold management when I have 10 Mounted Villagers on gold. That’s not to say you aren’t correct, maybe it has been fixed. Perhaps it is meant to be that way, as the mounted villagers still end up bringing back more gold.

Well if you have 10 MV on gold vs 10 Villagers you have around double gold income before upgrades, so of course you gather more gold with 10 MV. Even after gold upgrades.

Maybe I just misunderstood the post. I thought OP was saying the mounted villagers don’t bring back more gold than the regular villagers. I explained why that may be, and why the upgrades may not apply as well.

All other villager upgrades apply to mounted villagers, but not the gold mining upgrades. That is what the OP is about.
