is it possible to change civ name without effecting the game when playing online?

can i do it with mod? seems like mod need to be installed, that means your opponent need the same mod?

what about changing in game data? will it crash the game

i only want that the change only effecting me

No, you wouldn’t be able to use such a thing in Ranked/QM. Only Custom games.
