Just today it worked fine. I restarted my PC but same thing is happening.
Obviously since I am writing this from the PC the connection works fine, so does steam.

Seems I also faced that issue just now. Same; rebooting PC did nothing

I am connected, but cant join group nor matchmaking works und eu west and UK server. but servers seem online.

Servers are down in North America. And can’t link my Xbox account either. Brilliant.
Apparently their servers are over capacity. maybe if they allowed for local area network and direct ip play their servers wouldn’t be over capacity and even if they were their would be an alternative to connect and play with your friends… Age of Empires 1 and 2 had those type of ways to play multiplayer its sad to see that that 4 only has multiplayer access through their servers that can get overburdened and that will sometimes need to go offline for maintenance
Leaderboard seems to be down as well
Came back from a 3 day trip super excited for this, day dreaming in the train about playing it and watching tips by Aussie drogo and spirit of the law…Unpacked, took a shower, opened the PC brimming with excitement opened my xbox app (since I am a subscriber) clicked play…to find this issue i on my first launch…(insert a face of immense disappointment here)
Edit: this is my first launch, so I need it to be connected to the internet. so i can’t even do the tutorials or the campaigns…I love life

Servers down confirmed. In every saga AoE 4, 3, 2, 1
