Hi! I always wonder, is it standard for you guys to try to have 100% on steam achievements ? I have tried really hard to get them and I always wonder if its a standard thing to do
Only a tiny minority hunts them all. You can see some achievements are far under 1%. Very active players are more represented there as an obvious statistical bias.
So, you do you. It’s just bragging rights in the end.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. My mom always said I am special, so it’s good to know I have done right by her. ![]()
It’s not even “bragging rights”…achievements are made so that any casual player could easily achieve them - in most cases…There are those like “there can be only one” in shogun 2 which requires you to be a n1 on a mp ladder…or some server sided achievements that require you to own/participate during a specific event that’s long due. However, most games’ achievements do not even mark a full completion of a game…e.g. in aoe2 you don’t even need to win any scenario on hard, except for one or two, to get all achievements.
But I go for them, they are a part of my “completion”, though I go for 100% within a game, and achievements are secondary to that.
Some are still very spicy. The Alaric one that forces you do destroy all of Rome’s castles within 30 min for example, I had to micromanage several armies by using and abusing the active pause to make it in time. One of the toughest that I can remember.
and precisely anyone can do that if they micromanage properly or watch a tutorial and abuse pauses. Not like you have to be a n1 on ranked ladder to get an achievement - such as that famous achievement in shogun 2…
Achievement idea : beat The Viper, Hera and MbL in 1v3 without them throwing in the towel while they can use cheat codes ![]()
1v7 Hera, Viper, Tatoh, Heartt, Jordan, Vinchester and MbL
Yes, I always try to get 100% for the achivements. I complete the campaigns on Hard and get whatever achievements are left.
Its a very cool thing to do for people that like single player.
