Africa DLC listed on Steam

Hope this sells well so we’ll get more DLC in the future!

“The Battle of the Three Kings – Sebastian of Portugal, a young and jealous king, has launched an invasion into Morocco under the pretense of a crusade. The Saadis, however, are not impressed and gather their army to meet the invaders. The Iberians may have superior technology, mercenaries, and the help of a local puppet sultan, but the sultan’s forces are fighting to protect their homes.”

So we’ve got another historical battle for Morocco/Berbers, but they are still not playable .
I have a strong feeling that they were planned but cut.

Hope they’re included in the future.

That’s going to be helpful for sure.

Great to hear. Honestly I expected them to release it later like in the early fall

It would be good to have a distinguishing feature: maybe with the Lion of Judea or this one:

morocco is like alliance feature

Fourteen years yearning for an African DLC! Fourteen years waiting for something I thought, when I was young, that obviously was on the way after an American and an Asian DLC. Now I only need to wait more 12 days to play it.

I hope to see Moroccans in AoE 3 for free. In update in 2 September.

2 African civs is too small number. Africa need at least 4 civs - like native Americas.

Very hyped for this one. I know that a lot of people were hoping for a full blown expansion pack, but genuinely, I think this is as close as we’d ever get. TWO new civilizations, and ALL those new maps. Oh man, I am so excited.

Thank you so much to the developers for all your tireless work.

Thank you developers. I will preorder it. I want to support this game and I want new civs, campaigns, historical battles for this game. If these are with dlc, I will gladly buy it. :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

Feels like really good value getting all this for £8. I think I need to learn a bit more about the two new civs but they look great.

My guess is a second African DLC early next year with Morocco and maybe something like Zulu.

I’ve been very vocal in the past about the US expansion but i am really excited for this DLC content, certainly appears to be more densly packed than just the US expansion. I still think the DLC would sell more if there were 2 campaigns of 4-5 scenarios for each civ.

Prepare yourselves for the ladder being exclusively african civs!

i dont think we’ll see Zulu as a faction, i also imagine future DLCs will be something else like the missing europeans or Persia/Siam.

Zulu will probably be one of the 5 new minor civs.

Zulu is Minor Nation?
Let it be so

I had to make a forum account to ask this…
Why Hausa? I was actually hyped for Barbary Coast and Ethiopians. Two excellent picks in my opinion.
But why this random ethnic group that had no real impact during the time period?
