After the latest update today, the game doesn't launch anymore

ISSUE EXPERIENCED

When trying to launch the game from Steam or where ever, something seem to be happening, but nothing actually opens. No start screen, no nothing. The game was working perfectly before the update.

I click the play button in Steam. I wait the game to launch. Windows seem to be loading something. After a few second of loading, nothing happens. Steam also don’t recognize the game to be playing anymore.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

100% Every time I try to launch the game after the latest update.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

Download latest update
Try to play.

EXPECTED RESULT

Could you add here the mdmps and logs of the day where this happens? Logs could be found here: “C:\Users\USER\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\logs” and have this format “2022.01.20-18.28.40” and mdmp like: “AoE2DESteam-58115-2022.01.19-15.05.33.mdmp”

I think it’s not creating any new files to that folder when ever I try to launch AOE 2 DE

Also reinstalling the game doesn’t solve it either.

@IkoKnight8151 . I can´t even find the logs. It´s like that folder is missing.
I´ve tried to reinstall, but nothing happened

Having same issue, unable to launch the game since yesterday. is there any solution?

Go to “My Computer” and click on your C folder.

In there, click on the Users folder.

Then click within your user.

Go to the GAMES folder.

Then go to the Age of Empires 2 DE folder and you should see the logs folder within it.

I’ve found the Age of Empire 2DE folder, but the folder with logs is not there
