I can’t imagine, in 10 years, with around 80 civilizations, still having the same bugs and bizarre graphics… It’s IMPOSSIBLE to continue with 2D graphics, making mistakes like placing the palisade in the wrong place because we didn’t see the map errors and having to use mods that only make the game ugly…
IT CAN’T BE JUST ME WHO THINKS THIS WAY…
I’m also a fan of AoE2 and have been playing since 2004/2005, if I remember correctly, and for me, changes are welcome, but perhaps most people don’t want them… For me, 3D graphics would be excellent…
Perhaps the best strategy would be to launch a new Age of Empires…
AoE V…
I don’t know what AoE V would be like…
AoE2 DE was released in November 2019, and 7 years have passed since its launch. AoE4 wasn’t well received by the AoE2 community, despite being a sales success for new players and still having many players, even if fewer than the AoE2 players…
The question remains: what would a new Age of Empires be like?..
AoE V should be based on either Antiquity or Modern Era
Cuz they keep on developing II DE and IV, and the first one is the Franchise most sold entry, there is no point to have another Middle Age game at this time
Maybe from late 18th to early 20th century just before the collapse of the last great empires like the Qing Dynasty and the Ottomans. While constant powers seek to rule the world like the Japanese, the British, the French and the Russian
The new Age of Empires could have 7 Eras:
Primitive/Dark Ages - Middle Ages - Feudal Age - Castle Age - Imperial Age - Colonial Age - Industrial Age
It could have 2 types of Ranked Play:
Starting from the third era: Feudal Age…
Starting from the first era: Primitive/Dark Ages…
I’m sure you not the only one who thinks that, but it is an unpopular opinion. Generally, the graphics are not an issue. In fact, the old graphic style has actually helped the game stay popular.
To me it just sounds like if you want AOE2 done in a more modern style just play AOE4, if you dont like that people arent moving on to AoE4 thats your issie
