I am having the same issue, I have tried disabling all mod and also Nvidia and Discord overlays and it is still happening

Just to confirm, has the download fully completed before you are launching?

I’m having the same issue, and I do confirm that it happens with the download having fully completed before launching the game.

Hello,

Exact same problem with me as well, the game simply shuts down and asks me to fill in an error report, happens exactly after clicking the grand campaign.

i also just found out playing Skirmish you can’t see any units

Thank you. We are aware of a crash that occurs for some of our users, if they try and launch into the Grand Campaign after installing the new DLC while the game was running.

The fix is to simply launch the game and try again.

You may crash again but please repeat these steps and you should be able to play.

We’re currently investigating a fix for this and will provide more information if any new relevant info can be helpful.

I have now restarted the game about 10 times and also used the Xbox App Repair function. But it always crashes as soon as you press the Grand Campaign button.

I only started the game when the download was finished. I don’t think you can start a game that is updating in the Xbox app.

It seems to me that only a patch will help here. What a pity.

By the way, I haven’t installed any mods. I never have.

Could you try disabling your mods and let us know if this resolves the issue? If this is triggered by a mod, knowing which one would help investigate the issue.
If needed, steps can be located Here.

I am having the same issue too.
DLC fully downloaded, PC restarted, the game crashes every attempt to launch ‘Grand Campaign’. No mods either.

I remember the launch of ‘Victors and Vanquished’ DLC not going smooth either on release day too - but for a different reason (showing as locked/unpurchased IIRC?)

It took the Devs a while to put a hotfix together for that too.
Poor show really…

I already have all my mods disabled when this screenshot was taken

As all have already written already tried too 9/10 times, and me too on the skirmish I’ve encountered the “no look”

removed all mods

If you’re able to submit a message in the Report Window that appears, we would greatly appreciate it.

Those go directly to our dev team and we’re monitoring those constantly.

If you still continue to crash, please continue to check our Support Known Issues page for the latest info and potential workarounds as we investigate!

Same problem bere with gamepass PC.

Can confirm with the 1.6GB hotfix installed within the last 10 mins, that I can start the ‘Grand Campaign’ mission.

However, upon starting the first mission; I now have the “no look” issue that others have mentioned previously.
e.g. I can only see the main character and nothing else?!

Same issue within Single Player Skirmish too.

Same problem on PC as of 2:30pm

For those reporting the Crashing issue when accessing the Grand Campaign button, and you are on Microsoft Store, we believe a small fix that just rolled out should now resolve the issue for you.

You may need to still quit / close out of the application on Microsoft Store, then relaunch.

When you do this, you should get a relatively small update and then be able to access the Grand Campaign without crashing.
