Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition DLC News

No, I simply care about the other fans who are worried as well as the AoE III fans receiving this devastating news.

Your position is that “other fans can wait”. I disagree, is all.

I’m not buy any AOE2 DE content (which i was considering) in protest.

Also no AOE4 (More like AOE 2-2)

In terms of the timing of this announcement, do you think there is any correlation to Microsoft announcing their 4th quarter earnings recently… I think in the past day or so?

I thought all indications were they had a strong 4th quarter. I guess “revenue guidance” was maybe weak per a Yahoo headline anyways, though, but I don’t really know what that is. (Google says that pertains to foward-looking estimates). So that might make sense. It they don’t anticipate having good revenues coming up, they maybe were looking for things to cut? Like AoE3:DE stuff, if AoE3:DE was performing poorly or under expectations?

There may be zero correlation. I just think it is very coicidental timing. Not sure if others pointed it out above already

He didn’t make a video but he did comment “It’s actually unbelievable isnt it. They just could not care less about us” on a video from Widgie

I already said. They could announce the cancellation months earlier because we know they knew it couldn’t deliver. They have a whole year to do that. Then they could still announce the AOM news today.

You sound like they only have this one choice. They have no other ways to do this. They are having a harder time than us. No. They have a whole year. Even if it the case, who cornered them into this situation? Us? Or themselves?

What is even sneakier: misinterpret others writings intentionally to alienate the customers, then removing their clarification. But again, it is not going to work.

Idk, maybe they didn’t want to alienate us before AOMR came out. They wanted to extract every cent they could before admitting they dumped AoE3 on the side of the road with an ax in its head.

All things considered, I’m glad I didn’t buy AoMR. Such a purchase would have largely been based on its association with AoE3.

More like they chose to sacrifice the “minority”, as they cannot please both, to appease the “majority”. An attempt to show dedication to the latter by cutting all corners to ensure the promise to them is fulfilled.

I take back my words. This is not bad timing but perfect timing. It’s intentional. They think the playerbases are already alienated even hostile against each other, so sacrificing one for the other in front of the public will work (I’ve already seen people celebrating).

That’s their own estimation though, and I’m eager to see if they are right.

I wish I could refund aom. I’m very angry right now. Very Sad too

They could well deliver one or two smaller patches per year with only one or two men. We don’t expect much. Yet they still failed us.

Something that baffles me and it’s so wrong at many levels is the fact that they told us to look for mods but the f***g mod page just change to AOE2 if you change the category or browse something

Unfortunately, they seem to be censoring even the comments.

I left these comments and Facebook was blocked by the authorities today

Are you saying the authorities in your country blocked Facebook? Which country?

Sorry, there may be errors in the translation software

This refers to the fan who professionally blocked me.

I’m wondering here what precisely it would take to get our Poland and Denmark through mods. Has anyone expressed interest?

Source code. 22 civs limit in the exe

I don’t think there’s a 22-civ limit? I’m pretty sure Kaeto has managed to shove more than 22 civs into it for Age of the World.
-11 vanilla euros
-3 vanilla asians
-2 africans
-4 natives
-2 federals
-Egyptians, Moroccans, Zulu, Yoruba for the Africans
-Calusa, Caribs, Charrua, Cherokee, Inuit, Maya, Tupi for Natives
-Khmers, Javanese for Asians
-Armenians, Finns, Georgians, Jesuits for Europeans
-Pirates, Cowboys for the new Outlaw culture
-Rapa Nui for Polynesians
-Unknown European civilization with some manner of crossbow-using siege unit hiding behind a wall
-Unknown Native civilization that appears to be a Plains people

That’s 44 by my count.
