Age of Empires IV Patches

Are Age of Empires 4 patches automatic or does the user have to install them? If the user has to install them, how is it done? I am using a PC.

which platform did you get the game from?

I purchased the AOE 4 from Microsoft for my PC. From playing the game, it looks like patches are automatic.

However, none of the information that I have viewed state how patches are installed.

Hi @Gramps101A, By default the Microsoft Store updates apps automatically but if an update just came out you may need to manually check for updates in the Microsoft Store and then click Update All.

If you are on Windows 11 you need to go to the Library section in the left pane. There you can also check the list of apps that were updated already and the ones still waiting for approval to update.
