Regarding the bonuses of many units that counter and are usually 100% or more (spearman, archer, horseman, springald and other siege), it is. Except crossbowmen and some more that I can forget, they all have much higher bonuses.

Finally, the pesky Mongolian Khan’s shooting of sheep, which has always been irritating, has been stopped.

The changes to Mangonel look like what I had in mind before, great effect on dead orbs on ranged units that don’t move and less effect on melee infantry and cavalry that are always moving, don’t know exactly how, need more It takes a few tests to find out.

This patch came quite fast and the content is good, but it is a bit awkward compared to the situation where both AOE2 and AOE3 have updated a lot of content. I hope we can see the next patch sooner, after all, there are still many things to be fixed.

So, HRE has been changed. Why not give chinese an IO at the start of the game?

It is around 35% in aoe buff, the number is radius not area.

And so we continue to Nerf the civilization that nobody wants to play because it is hard to micro manage, and so you don’t want to play it. If those of you complaining about the Mongols were actually rotating through ALL the civs (each match you play a different civ) you would see that they all have pluses and minuses, advantages over some other civ, and disadvantages vs some civs. You all are picking your favorite meta civ and only playing that civ. Which means you are taking advantage of the aspects of that civ against your opponent. So why aren’t you complaining that your meta build/gameplay with say the English or the French is over powered, and advocating for a patch to change that? If the Mongols are so OP why aren’t you meta playing them and winning every match? Exactly. But yet, when someone does try to meta the Mongols you cry foul and demand changes. Some aspect of the Mongols gets nerfed nearly every patch. Why have anything unique about any of the civs when you are just going to cry foul every time someone uses that uniqueness against you? Lets take a look at the #1 rated 1v1 player’s success against the Mongols. Beastyqt He beats the Mongols every time he goes up against them, AND he beats them with a different civ than he did the last time he played against them. Okay, maybe #2 ranked player is using Mongols all the time? Liquid.DeMusliM Nope, hardly ever, even lost a match playing with the Mongols. Surely, the #3 ranked player always plays with the Mongols. GL.TheViper Nope, played 22 out of most recent 150 games as Mongols, and lost with them twice out of those 22 games. So yup, there it is, the OP Mongols are allowing anybody to climb the ladder virtually unopposed, it is so unfair.

Seems to me that if your desire is to “balance” all the civs equally, then you should just require both teams to play the same civ, i.e. Mongol vs Mongol, French vs French, and then you could truly test your skill with the Mongols vs your opponents’ skills with the Mongols. Bet the Mongols wouldn’t be OP then.

he must be with is inaccurate description of the performance of mongols… still best win rate overall and top 2 or 3 in EACH rank category…

And now, with a more precisely upgraded mangonel, players will be able to make that unit on the battlefield with the Advanced Siege Engineering upgrade. A nerf on one hand, an indirect buff on the other.

Well, at first I didn’t play Mongols for dignity, because I had the low cost of the outpost and the ovoo bonus, the civilization was broken and it doesn’t give any pride to win with that.
Second: Those of us who care about the community couldn’t sleep knowing that someone left the game because he couldn’t against a Mongol.
Third: those of us who participate in tournaments will see our main history and they will ban us.
Fourth: those who have not yet mastered all civilizations must get used to constantly creating houses and the Moguls do not have it

Why each time you change Mangonnel, you don’t change Nest of Bees ?
At this point removing nest of bees and replacing it by Mangonnel would be a buff…

Also, french and english are clearly overpower, and still no nerf…

Honestly, getting macth 100% of time vs English/French is really a big no. So as we have seen again, the game is back to lose players… I used to play on discord servers that were very active, and now it’s not the case anymore.

Even though i would agree the nob is less effective at clearing small masses… the nob beats out a mangonel once the mass gets over 20+; bc at that point all 8 rockets hit SOMETHING effectively getting the full value of the 80 damage potential. HOWEVER i will concede that a mangnel has way more versatile!!: more range, more hp, virtually doesnt miss, can seige buildings and upgrades to shoot as fast as NOB after imp upgrade…

IMO i would be happy if they shrunk the aoe splash zone of the NOB and effectively make it so 6 to 7 of the 8 rockets clip the designated target instead the average of 3 to 4 hitting the designated target.

AoE2 average are not 25k lol.

AoE4 needs more construction, I hope that in the future it will pick up the numbers as other games in other genres have already done.

It was stupid, but a tachtic I’ve done was just moving out the sheep targeted. Doing so, he just gets stuck shooting the sheep and you can scape.

Hope you can use this on other ages.

About mangonels… For me is ok. As main abbasid, I am always trying to get into castle fast so I can build a mangonel when my base is being raided.

With the mangonel nerf english rush was a pain. Even if you get to castle mangonel was doing over nothing damage against archers.

That doesnt work??? He can just retarget a new sheep??? Its better the sheep dies then you give it to him and he kills another one of yours. Good news you dont have to worry about it anymore

The khan doesn’t automatically target at sheeps, if he’s shooting at your sheep it means that he manually aimed for that sheep.

If you let this sheep, he will automatically stop the move because the sheep is no more moving and is in range, so you will scape with the rest of the sheeps.

You don’t need to worry in dark age, but in feudal maybe… Was just a trick I used a lot of times.
