AI does not move Scout on Earth (Real World Map)

:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

When playing on the Earth map (from the “Real World” pool), the AI never moves their Scout off of Antarctica. It loads up the Villagers on the Transport Ship, but then abandons the Scout. It never goes back for it.

The AI does not load any Sheep in the Transport Ship, so there is definitely room for the Scout.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Start a two-player game on the Earth map
  2. Watch the AI behavior

The AI loads up the Scout along with the villagers. Or if for some reason it can’t fit it, then it comes back for the Scout later.

The following three recorded games all reproduce the error

I retried it with an 8-player Earth game. Here’s what each player did (player numbers as indicated in the playback.

  • 1 Nur ad-Din (Cyan): Properly loads Scout on Transport Ship
  • 2 Jean Dunois of Orelans (Orange): Scout stays still, eventually attacks player’s scout
  • 3 Majorian (Gray): Scout stays still
  • 4 [Human Player] (Blue): N/A
  • 5 Halfdan the Black (Red): Scout stays still
  • 6 Shahanshah Bahram (Purple): Properly loads Scout on Transport Ship
  • 7 Conrad the Sailor (Yellow): Scout stays still
  • 8 Jan I Olbracht (Green): Scout stays still

None of the AI loaded sheep, so they all had room for the three Villagers and the Scout.
