Sounds like a local issue: the triggers work fine and the game can be saved and loaded without any issue. I would disable disruptive mods and check your game files on Steam.
Great design, but i rage quit after a some minutes. When both the Swedes and the Crusaders attack at the same time. I played on standard

The first scenario is too hard and unfair for Standard level. The small population limit, my vils’ inability to build farms, the absence of gold mines on the map, the very slow gold gathering through vulnerable carts, the lack of non-gold-intensive units good vs. heavily armored Teutons, and the fast replacement of enemy troops while I’m struggling hard to train and upgrade my soldiers completely hinder my possibilities of protecting myself and the villages.
Please fix the scenario it freezes after saving and reloading
Scenario no. 5 is broken.
In order for me to save Andrei, I have to be near his hero unit with Alexander but when I reach him the Mongol also turn on us and we have to fight two players at the same time but that is not the big issue. The bigger issue is when you bring Andrei health under 500 you cannot keep Alexander around because Alexander dies either by Andrei or Mongol army but when you run away from Andrei to save Alexander, Mongols kill Andrei so, either way we lose.
Can you guide or fix maybe I’m doing something wrong.
