Nice addition
It would awesome to see the return of Wololo into AOE 3
Maybe this could be delivered as a card or so

no need for card, just make the basic church tech to be more useful

I’m 150% in but, how would it affect MP?

buff to russia, nerf to india (mahouts/howdah getting converted is a huge troll when no civ comes close to having units that high in value), shadow nerf to any civ with poor access to healers, massive buff to hausa (probably?) and huge buff to ethiopia

If they decided to add it, I’d imagine you’d want to set the convert resistance value based on the base cost of the unit. That would favor Russia a bit, but India’s elephants would take like 5-7x longer than a musketeer. That might even make converting smaller units better because India will just shoot the priests.

Personally, I kinda don’t think I’d be in favor of adding this. It would risk upsetting the balance too much when we already rarely get patches. You also would have to assume the Ottoman ones would convert things 2x as fast while having a faster recharge or something…

And cheaper, obviously

upto aoe3 period, it will be more likely a unit to switch side because of money instead of faith.

actually, it give me a good idea to buff spy. let spy have a cooldown ability to convert in range enemy mercenaries by paying some amount of coin.

totally match the favor

also huge nerf to inca since that was priestesses selling point and big units would be converted way slower so not as much impact I think.
Also this would be a nice way to sneak in my idea of spies etc countering healers which would also combat russian priest/inquisitor spam.

Has any inca player ever really used the priestess?

Yes, especially the 3 Priestess ageup to get treasure guardians and I’ve seen several times that raiding cav gets converted or if the enemy notices runs away. I’ve done that myself but I haven’t really touched the civ lately.

Huh, i still really don’t think they are worth their pop slot. But against raids i guess that is actualy pretty smart.

Yeah a card tech
More like an AOE 2 experience!

they give more than enough XP when tasked to the plaza and Inca are not a civ to complain about housing so they can be sitting around buffing your shipment curve and if you get attacked go to work making you some new Huss

Guess i’ll have to integrate them more.

Do it. converting half of the raiding force can not only be a huge tactical advantage basically stealing a shipment worth of Huss but also be a good psychogical hit to the enemy and make him more likely to make mistakes and lose the game ^^

This should be a unique feature of a select few healers, not a default feature for everyone. The units having it available should be directly linked to evangelizing such as Missionaries for the Spanish and Portuguese, and a great awakening style Preacher for USA and Britain that could be enabled with a card. Cloistered Priestesses should not have an ability like this at all.
