ISSUE EXPERIENCED
I reported this issue back during the Open Beta in July, and since all previous Open Beta topics are now private, I’m opening another ticket for visibility, as the issue still occurs on the live version.
Ambient sounds are still audible in the main menu even when the Ambient Sounds volume slider is set to 0.
This happens after restarting the game: the slider remains at 0, but ambient sounds play anyway. To mute them again, I have to increase the slider and then lower it back to 0 manually.
The setting also does not remain applied consistently within the same session. After muting ambient sounds, leaving the Audio settings menu, and opening it again, ambient sounds can be heard again despite the slider still being set to 0.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
- 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:
-
Open Settings and go to the Audio menu.
-
Set the Ambient Sounds volume slider to 0.
-
Leave the settings menu and restart the game.
-
In the main menu, observe that ambient sounds are audible even though the slider remains set to 0.
-
Open the Audio settings, increase the Ambient Sounds slider, and lower it to 0 again. The sounds are muted.
-
Leave the Audio settings and open them again.
-
Observe that ambient sounds may play again despite the slider still being set to 0.
EXPECTED RESULT
Ambient sounds should remain muted whenever their volume is set to 0, including after reopening the settings menu and after restarting the game.
