Amoghvarsha nrupatunga as new campaign for Dravidian civilization in Aoe 2 De indian dynasties

Amoghavarsha nrupatunga was a great emporor of rastrakuta empire during late 10th century to mid 11th century he has ruled more than 60% land of india in the name of Dakshina pateshwar means an emporor this was glory of india. This campaign can be introduced in Dravidian civilization

Another emporor that is Harshavardan who ruled at the same time called as uttarpatheshwar. This campaign can be introduced as hindustanis civilization

The new edition for dynasties of india can includes Rastrakutas, Harshawardan, Vijayangara, Rajputs, ####### sultante. Please include these in the upcoming additions you can add a great campaign

The game needs a different civ for Kannadigas, ridiculous that the dev made a Dravidian umbrealla instead of them and Tamils.

Theres no way we are getting a new official dravidian campaign and we are probably not getting any more Indian civs either

highly unlikely we see another India DLC, and if we do, it likely won’t be anytime soon.

You have to tag some of the custom campaign creators, especially the ones that made some great campaigns like Janos Hunyadi, Vytautas the great.

Anyways its great fun to have challenging campaigns featuring Hindustanis and Gurjaras.

Imagine having one more awful civ with no knights or CA to maintain “historical accuracy”…my goodness…

Its not historically accurate, the Indian kingdoms used plenty of heavy cavalry and had a feudal system not that diferent from the European one

It was a silly gimmick that was done to encourage camels and later was extended for the rest of Indian civs to just make them feel more unique

I like the idea of doing more unconventional civs though, I just hope they try to see it as a problem to solve rather than simply a gimlick

Yup! the new civs have been designed pretty poorly. India had extensive use of war horses. They were imported from Arabia mostly.

War horses were considered very important staple of war strategy. An important mongol family advised the pandya kings on import of horses from mongol controlled markets. Import of expensive war horses drained the south Indian kingdoms though and made Delhi Sultanate the hegemon of the sub-continent.

South Indian empires bought Mongol war horses to fight against the Delhi ########## ### the Sultanate’s tactics and grand strategy triumphed over all the wealth and effort spent on imported horses.

Maybe another mini dlc to break up dravidians would be an interesting concept.

A DLC with Kannadigas, Telugus and Odias would be awesome in the distant future. All these civs would of course get Knights or some form of heavy cavalry if designed appropriately. Kannadigas or Telugus could be potential Paladin civs, whilst Odias would definitely get cavalry archers rather than elephant archers. Telugus would also be a historically viable civilisation for having Cannoneer Elephants as a UU.

The fact that no South Asian civ gets Knights is widely innacurate. For Hindustanis I get it, no Knights is an interesting design choice, but Gurjaras and Dravidians (Tamils) should definitely have had Knights.

Bengalis on the other hand shouldn’t ever get Knights, because the medieval Bengalis had terrible heavy cavalry due to climate/terrain, so that is a point of historical accuracy. Of course, they could’ve got war chariots in the Stable to compensate. The current design just makes them weak, unnecessarily. Also, we must ask why no gunpowder for Bengalis? The Bengali Sultanate actually had very powerful gunpowder armies, and I’d expect some bonus for gunpowder. Having no cannons at all is very surprising.
