Its so funny. First ppl moan and whine how they don’t want to get rushed and defending is too hard. When they nerf the aggressive options ppl start to whine about 2TC meta and proceed to complain how attacking is useless and want better options to be aggressor.
Literally nothing is good enough. All of this origins whole year of nerfs to aggressive play and now we go to other side to nerf defensive play. Back and forth literally so stupid.
Won’t be long when the topic switches to defending is too hard and needs buff or attacking needs nerf. Current situation is exactly what majority of posters here asked for and now those who asked this are silent and not bother with feedback while other side complains. Literally proofs that ppl who do not like the state of game come to post things and complain while not actually really caring about balance.
I’ve complained all the time when strategies were nerfed to the ground. Professional scouts were nerfed way too hard. Same with towers and more aggressive play in general. I was never a fan of tower rushing and even stopped playing mongols in the early days of the game due to it being too strong. But atleast it was an option to do something instead of turtling/booming. Now that pretty much every early game strategy is gone it is indeed a boring game to me, yes.
Also I would like to add that imo devs shouldn’t favour attacker nor defender. There should be strategies that suit both playstyles and can be mastered. If someone is great at defending he should win and same goes for attacking.
aha! someone replied that farms cost 75 wood earlier…weird, anyway…
I feel like the pros should be consulted instead of us on balancing issues but if defense really is the meta…
Then what if reseeding farms costed wood like in aoe2?
Also if years are really going by during the round, like 200 years or whateva for a wonder victory…
then we could nerf the defense meta, (if it really is overpowered - i’m not sure it is but)
we could nerf defense meta by adding building and wall decay for every century that passes by like maybe -5% structure health for every 100 years that pass?
Or…add burn over time damage when infantry/cavalry set a building on fire, if it’s not repaired, it burns to death like in sc1.
Again, pros should be consulted on balancing, not us no0bs but yea…i’m bored so i’m contributing to this discussion lol
