I just want at least a proper apology and explanation, instread of “we lied to you and it’s good for you and we understand you’re angry”
After their negligence for years, I would not have any faith in those guys unless there is solid proog their management and communication was overthrown. And a proper explanation, indicating they have discovered shame, would be a proof of that.

Didn’t see the Yumi, but the samurai did look suspiciously familiar…

No, no, no… they just wanted us to feel included lol.
No, no, no… they were just playing hard to get lol. This was probably their favorite game and if we had just written better bug reports then everything would have been great! It’s all our fault obviously /s

I don’t want another fake apology. The only thing I want from WE is to hand 3DE over to a publisher like Hooded Horse, who will do right by the game, because, unlike WE, Hooded Horse actually cares about the games and studios under them.
Which has about as much chance of happening as WE restarting 3DEs support. So, I’d rather they keep their lying and insincere mouths shut. I’ve had enough of their bullshit to last me a lifetime.

If they learned to apologize and be sincere, it already meant the current management and PR were wiped out——which may be a good news for the series (look at their treacherous advertising for 3K. It is upsetting everyone)

You don’t sound very appreciative!

What happened to change.org campaign? Has it reached already 10k signatures?

Looks like it’s at 5.5k
Another round of pushing by everyone could get that number up.

Yes, AoMR is going through the same process that AoE 3 went through in 2021 (2 DLCs: the African one and the postcolonial one) and now it’s the Chinese and Japanese DLCs…
Now there will be 4 games…

2 DLCs: the USA and Mexico = Chinese and Japanese. Next DLC maybe will be Aztec. Next - Celts. These are the two most popular pantheons.

@community managers. I appreciate you remembering AOE3 exists in the Louvre post. How about creating a new historical battle for the partnership with the Louvre? Portray the battle of the Pyramids, which was between the Mamalukes and Napoleon in 1798. Unless you are going to get confused about events in the French revolution and try to represent them in AOE2 again.
Oh wait, that’s right, you don’t want to do anything for AOE3, but you will happily use it for marketing.

Also could they fix the outdated description of what a mercenary unit is (they don’t need to be “unlocked” in DE) and maybe explain the history of why they’re a mercenary unit? They fit in as mercenaries because Napoleon brought them back after his Egyptian campaign and they went on to fight across Europe as Mamelukes of the Imperial Guard.
Overall, a Mameluke exhibit is kind of an odd choice for an AoE historical tie in considering how blatantly ahistorical the AoE2 depiction is. But oh well, at least that forces them to actually showcase AoE3 because it is the only one that delivers an accurate depiction.

Technically they need to be unlocked by aging up. Although I presume you are referring to the legacy home city card mechanic.

The historian they brought on for their video openly states that the AOE3 representation is the best depiction in the series.
And yet it’s AOE2 and AOE4 which gets the special treatment and new content from this event, and AOE3 gets shoved back in the closet after they’ve been able to claim it’s portrayals to give them legitimacy.

Their description reads like it’s from pre-warchiefs where the only way to get Mamelukes was from cards so my impression is it is referring to the legacy unlocking mechanic. Unlocking by aging up is just an implicit part of all AoE games so if that’s what they mean, it’s a weird thing to mention at all. Their incompetence when it comes to AoE3 never ceases to amaze me, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were going off almost two decade old info.

Lol wow I didn’t even notice that. Yeah, that’s a pre-DE thing. Newsflash WE, we haven’t unlocked cards in 5 years

I wonder if they would have picked a different unit if they realized AoE3 would get praised for its historical accuracy.

Imagine the entire marketing team having not a single person with the slightest idea of what one of their games is about. Every time they are forced to talk about the game, they may just google for five minutes and do not even care to look at the wiki.
That’s why I would still refuse to buy anything from them unless those people are all gone, even if they resume support. The whole company is rot from top to bottom. I have no confidence they’d do anything of value.

Interesting. What video is in question, and where is the source of what you’re saying?
