An Open Letter to World's Edge regarding AOE3's Abandonment

As long as they don’t mention they are AOE3 mechanics.

Yeah, that is a joke of bad taste…they again are promoting a dlc that should be for 1 DE or at least Return of Rome instead of doing one dlc for the 5th anniversary for 3 DE (2 DE had its 5th anniversary dlc last year)…

Yeah but remember that mechanics and features that IV borrow from III are simplified
Imagine if they brought the Deck and Cards system again, the game will not be competitive and would be really hard for devs to balance it, and for players to learn it

So that’s exactly why I said the above:

But if this was true they come back to development and we all see that they simply dont care
that is not the case with III DE, sadly!

It’s officially been 9 months since AOE3 was stabbed in the back. The 5th anniversary of DE and 20th of the game was this month. And what did we get? Just a tacky recycled post from two years ago that wasn’t even updated. It was frankly more offensive than getting nothing at all, because once again it proved that the studio can’t even be bothered to proofread it’s own posts when it comes to AOE3.

Shame on you, World’s Edge. Shame on you.

Well we got some really enthusiastic gaslighting. What else do you want? Be grateful

Now they’re cooking with gas(lighting)

Exactly
Is just putting more salt on the wound
The injury they brought since the very beginning

But without gaslighting they wouldn’t have any lighting at all lol. Can’t have devs working in the dark.

10 months. It’s been 10 months since we were stabbed in the back by World’s Edge.

We’re still waiting on the “circle back"

Yes, that’s why they took the mechanics that seemed interesting and simplified them a bit to avoid complicating the game’s balance… I think it’s fine overall; the game has its complexities, but not enough to drive away new players…

January 28th will forever be a sad day for Age of Empires 3 players, and it will be even sadder next January 28th…

If you know that day is Chinese new year/ the Spring Festival, you will understand how angry Chinese players felt.

They should circle back.
Otherwise a Riot needs to be cooked!

Yes, that’s the day they’re going to announce another Chinese DLC for AoE 2 and they’ll act like it’s just another day…

Many 3DE players bought DLCs from the other games to support the franchise.

And look how we got rewarded.

I’m hardly surprised, but AOE3 has been, yet again, completely ignored in the annual forecast.

Don’t stop pushing. Don’t let this worthless studio win by default.

Yeah push until we are all send to the Gulag :oncoming_fist:

In other news, I wonder what AOEIII Aztec material will be lifted to the AOM expansion next year?
