Anyone else here suffer from DLC syndrome like me?

What I mean is, I love trying to guess when the next DLC will be announced and what kind of DLC it’ll be.

Then, once we get the first bits of information, I start guessing which civilizations the new units belong to, what new animals have been added, and so on.

And finally, I try to predict when the full DLC details will be revealed and what the release date will be.

I find all of this way too much fun.

Funny thing is, once the DLC actually comes out and I can finally play it, that dopamine rush doesn’t last nearly as long as I expect…

But then I start wondering what the next DLC will be and when it’ll come out, and the dopamine kicks in all over again. Haha.

Same :sob: I try to get as much info as possible the second I hear “new DLC on the horizon,” and then I go absolutely crazy. I live for this sh…

Yes, it’s fun… we debate a possible DLC, it’s announced, we keep debating it, it comes out and we’re already thinking about the next one… and repeating the cycle again and again…:sweat_smile:

I’m suffering from “too many DLCs” syndrome :stuck_out_tongue: getting new civs every half a year is too fast, I usually like new things but slow down! Make more Chronicles, campaigns, historical battles!

Yeah, definitely, I feel the same way…at least the other Age games also get DLCs to mix things up a bit…

It’s normal for any old franchise that keeps announcing content. Don’t worry about it.

Oh yeah, I still want a DLC for civilizations that don’t have a full-length campaign.

11, Me too. Sometimes I spend more time digging into and reading about the upcoming content than I actually spend playing the game

No. I run through the campaigns and have a jolly old time. Pop difficulty to standard and have a leisurely time. Maybe do some individual scenarios on Hard later on.

Problem is, my interest in AoE2 has been soured since 3K was released, so I haven’t felt as much interest in playing it since then. I’ve sorta only ran the new campaigns, and only recently started playing old ones again.

Yeah, I’m starting to suffer from it too. Like it feels this game is now a cash cow.

It always was, or at least since the release of 2 HD and 2 DE, somewhat neglecting the other games in the series (hence the rest of the Age community’s certain resentment and annoyance towards AoE 2) (I don’t count AoE 1 because they ported it into AoE 2 and then abandoned it again, and with Online it’s simply been doing its own thing since its resurrection in 2017)…

I definitely feel this way since I play other games that have a similar content model, though AoE2 is less live service and more like a Paradox GS game.

I’m willing to get the game for more SP content since I love Campaigns and scenario editor stuff no matter the region. So I’m down for almost anything.
