Recently I have noticed that the player count of AOM:Extended Edition wasn’t really affected by AOM:Retold release. It seems to me that most players joining now are actually new players (which is great).
Is any1 from voobly/gameranger here that can inform us from player count/lobby counts there?
Btw I did play on AOM:Extended Edition and it was laggy AF. such an unpleasant experience. I dont get how any1 could play on it.
New or returning. For example, I played way back on the original game’s servers. And I played on EE up until around the time Tales of the Dragon came out. But I haven’t played much since then.
technically I used to play on voobly many years ago, around 2013-2015. I was playing Extended edition for a few years before Retold released. Online play was fine. Could occasionally be laggy due to a player but nothing like what you describe. Perhaps your internet isn’t great, or you’re located far from everyone? My main complaint with Extended was the matchmaking was rather poor.

Did u notice any drop in lobby numbers in Voobly after EE release?
