It’s a major RTS game release ,so yeah I would say so
There’s a very good video by age of noob on YouTube going into depth on why AOE4 from what we have seen is not worth $60. I agree with a lot of his points he made and I recommend giving it a watch. It’s not a video of mindless ranting and complaining either.
How come in every poll I see these days it’s always 50/50 when it’s at 4 voters?
its not about what you think though, its about the money behind it. so yes, MS / relic are AAA Devs.
Regarding is worth, its obvious it will be worthy of being called aaa game. just look at it, it looks amazing, the campains are VERY cineastic, which also costs a bit
This is the only new RTS in many years from a major publisher to be made by an AAA developer, so yes it is AAA RTS.
Supposed to be AAA…but from what we have seen…i doubt it.
We dont know game is aaa game because we dont see more videos of the game. I am waiting the more videos eagerly.
The AOE 4 is RTS game, so I can make concessions to its graphics. But it also means I have a high expectations for the numerical balance of his game system.
If on this forum that is mostly age of empires super fans the game gets a 40% negativity I cannot imagine outside here, in steam people are raining fire over this “AAA” game lol
Normally yes, it’s an AAA game. But people outside the Aoe bubble, who see the game for the first time, would probably think it’s an Indie or even Free2Play game.
It is not entirely clear what you are doing here in this case, you can simply forget about the existence of AoE, everything is simple. In addition, you are lying, although this forum is not an indicator of the opinion of the community, but each poll here shows that people like AoE 4, then we can go to the comments on the presentation of AoE 4 on E3, on YouTube, and see that all the comments are positive. and there are few negative ones and they do not have likes, you can also draw a positive conclusion from the video clips of content makers by AoE. Summing up all this, we can say that you are absolutely wrong, but I am nobody to deprive you of pride, so I wish you to be proud in another place, here all those who want to discuss the game gather and are going to play it.
if it just wasnt for the campaign cinematics. Made this rofessional, I doubt many indies would ever be able to do such things.
And the general look is also quite a bit above indie, although many wont admit that. But it is true.
Anyways, I therefore think marketing focus will be on the campaigns.
we know because we know wjho develops it. thats how AAA works.
oh dude, I came from DOW3 relic official forums, there you will find a lot of polls showing how much those people on that forum showing DOW3 like a superb game… I just hope devs for this game are not like you that ignore all the negativity around this game like they did with DOW3
If we talk about Warhammer, you have chosen not an equal companion. You are obviously just a fan of the DoW series, and do not play the desktop version, they are called “Dowerasts” in slang. So, I’ll explain to you, DoW 3 failed only because of the fans of the board game, they don’t need a computer game, they will just hate everything related to the DoW series, according to most Warhammer 40k fans, it is not canonical and tasteless. Relic, on the other hand, made a good strategy as always, tried to make an unusual game that would stand out, and the fact that the formed small DoW community is quite conservative and happy to hate all the new games of the series, this was the case with DoW and its additions, so it was with Solustorm and even with Dark Crusade on its release. You have entered the AoE forum with the rules of conduct for the DoW community, this is a mistake.
+1 on this. Even in a skewed voter population, the results don’t look good for AoE4…
Actually I disagree here. DoW3 failed because of lack of content as well. Launched with only 5 or 6 maps if I remember correctly and only 1 game mode. Not even basic features like option to rebind hotkeys. Inexcusable! Now THAT is an RTS which diesnt deserve AAA price. AoE4 on the other hand is going to launch with a lot of content judging from what we’ve heard so far. But ofc we’ll see how many maps, game modes etc exactly closer to launch.
I saw a video, where the dev manager said that after some years of effort they manage to create random 3D maps with balance of resources even for competitive players. Logically the release will have many fixed maps if you think that each campaign stage is a map, but they also have the dynamic generated maps system.
im giving aoe4 0/10
looks like a massive flop to happen
good luck with that 60$
