AoE 4 needs better visuals to increase its playerbase

Another big issue with the treb in AoE4 is that the projectile flies out of the screen and reappears before impact on target. Kinda like a mortar. Have they fixed this yet? Such a bad design decision.
Looks awful and you cant tell where it came from.

Moreover, the AOEIVā€™s trebuchet projectile is created after the trebuchet shooting animation and from the wrong point. By wrong point, the projectile is created from the middle of the trebuchet, just like horse archers and scouts.

on aoe2 impact animation, the example above has particles set to low, if you set it to high its clear when impact occurs

Not having the DE, Iā€™m relying on YouTube for comparisons there.

Heck, I did it from my phone, so I didnā€™t even get proper IV footage :sweat_smile:

i do know impact in aoe4 is a simple faint smoke, technically accurate to life (2DEā€™s nuclear mushroom cloud sure isnā€™t, but its made to clearly stand out ) but hard to see more often than not
also not helped by how much that same smoke effect is reused in this game
also, while on visuals, one important visual is minimap side of things, can relic please fix the minimap so the icons scale along side the minimap, instead of being tiny at all times?

agree, visuals are weak part of AOE4 , + siege crew

About proportionsā€¦ see how something as simple as making doors bigger already improves the visual impact of the game
