AOE II - Three Kingdoms DLC | Units Deleting themselves

:play_button: GAME INFORMATION

:backhand_index_pointing_down: These details are CRITICAL; DO NOT skip them or your issue may not be reviewed.

  • GAME BUILD #: 24094652
  • GAME PLATFORM: Steam
  • OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 11

:play_button: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

:backhand_index_pointing_down:3rd campaign 2nd mission - After selecting the starting army, it consistently just vanishes and deletes itself from the scenario entirely if you look away from the units.

:play_button: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

:backhand_index_pointing_down: How often does the issue occur? CHOSE ONE; DELETE THE REST!

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

:play_button: REPRODUCTION STEPS

:backhand_index_pointing_down: List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Select a starter army.

  2. Cross the bridge.

  3. Look away from your army, do or do not keep them selected (you may have to play for a little bit, I’m not entirely sure.)

:play_button: EXPECTED RESULT

:backhand_index_pointing_down: The Army doesn’t delete itself.

:play_button: IMAGE

:backhand_index_pointing_down: I don’t have recording software or the ability to take a picture of something that has suddenly vanished.

:play_button: GAME FILES (SAVE / RECORDING)

:backhand_index_pointing_down: Attach a SAVE GAME (.aoe2spgame) or GAME RECORDING (.aoe2record) of the match where you encountered the issue. Link it below if using an external file service.

  • There’s no built-in way to record single player campaigns, seemingly.

If you go under game options, there’s a check box to “Record Campaign Games” that will give you a rec (you should only need to check this one time). Would be good to have that box checked in case this happens again, the recorded game would be very helpful to our team!
