AoE2 Squire: Free, instant post-match analyzer with match summary & grades

Introducing AoE2 Squire, a free post-match analyzer I built to review and grade performance right after a match ends. Works for matches against the AI as well as in multiplayer.
The squire runs in the background while you play and generates reports automatically. No uploads, no replays, no setup required.

Thank you everyone who gave feedback here and via Discord on the initial preview a few weeks ago. I’ve included several of your most requested additions for this release!

  • Match grades: Your performance from ★ to ★★★ managing idle villagers and housing.
  • Villager graph: The blue line shows when your TC was idle or if you lost large amounts of vils. The red line shows idle villagers over time, with the total summed up and graded at the top.
  • Housed: The red overlays show when you were housed.
  • Floating resources: Colored bars at the top of the chart show large amounts of unspent resources in the bank (the red food bars around Castle Age in my game).

Hover over any of the fields in the report for a tooltip explaining exactly what it shows and why it’s important for your match.

To get started, download the latest release from Github. Save aoe2-squire.exe anywhere on your computer and double-click to run. Leave it open in the background, start your game, and when you finish a match it’ll pop up your report.
For more info and FAQ, check out the Squire on Github and join the Discord for updates and to share feedback!

Getting a Windows SmartScreen warning?

After downloading AoE2 Squire, Windows SmartScreen might stop it from running because it’s not signed by Microsoft.

  1. When you see this warning, click on More info.

  1. Verify that the Publisher is listed as Unknown Publisher.
    • Important: If it shows anything else, do not run the file, as it could be malware!
    • If it shows “Unknown Publisher”, it simply means the file isn’t signed by Microsoft. Click Run anyway to start AoE2 Squire.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and suggestions!
