I think that diplomacy could add more content for players that dont really play in the competitive scene. I know that relic has other things to balance and fix before adding other content but it would be nice seeing some non-competitive aspects of the game being added.

I agree! diplomacy is a strong casual niche in AOE2. It’s needed for AoE4 too.
