No. Some ranked players have wanted to remove new fancy stuff for very a long time.
You also want removing stuff.

Because i mostly played unranked, so it just proved my point. Since both unranked player(me) and ranked players want to remove DE stuff.
SOME CERTAIN ranked player and SOME CERTAIN unranked player. Don’t count me.

Let’s be realistic, they aren’t gonna remove stuff. That stuff cost money to implement, removing it is akin to throwing money out the window. No sane gaming company does that. Those who do will face consequences (see Helldivers 2 player droping over game designers overnerfing and even removing weapon features).
Microsoft might have made some questionable decisions lately, but this is too much even for them.

As was said, it is both ranked and unranked players. Not like the elite group of ranked players you proposed. xD
Also asking for removing DE gimmicks will definitely not result in removal of units or civs. At best we can hope for balance changes and number tweaks (which you like).
Also you original premise was if you are fed up of bad balance in a game mode, just dont play that mode. Instead of asking for a change. Which is as unhelpful a contribution as any. And the whole thread got derailed.
I will start with a relevant topic - darlkarl pikeman spam in team games. it is a little overtuned I think. It can use a bit of a nerf. We need to ‘remove’ this gimmicky strat.
What your suggestions sound like -

Yes, balancing AoE 3 was always very difficult, especially after TWC and TAD and removing things is not the solution because it costs money, plus the new dlcs keep adding new things, so it would be useless to think about huge balances while AoE 3 continues receiving dlcs…this Baltic dlc you will need to balance the Swedes and the eurocivs from the base game; if the next dlc is Middle East, you will need to balance the camels, if the next dlc is SEA you will need to balance the elephants, two dlcs that would affect the Indians…if the next dlc after that is post-colonial dlc, it affects the USA and Mexico, if it is Native American dlc, it affects the native civs and so on…

Friendly reminder that Vanilla game or any expansion before DE still available to play even in multiplayer with Game Ranger. Yes, there are many players that feel like you, but there are also many more that enjoy the game as it is now. Of course, there are some aspects to be trimmed but I don´t want any of that to disappear at all.

Si vous vous supprimer tout changement qui a eu lieu avec l’arrivée de Définitive Édition jusqu’à maintenant, autant jouer au jeu classique, j’apprécie ces changements apporté (même si j’ai bien dégusté avec les “nerfs” sur les aztèques).
No that is just me admitting defeat. I am so humbled. Damn. I am giving up on ranked games. And i will be changing my friends too. And never complain about this game again. Thanks brother.

It’s my failure. Keep on with your way of living and playing. One day you will eventually become the real top pro player yourself that have the dominance over how other people should or should not play the game, like no one not even the top players has ever achieved, instead of having to use them as your shield whenever you cannot read properly.
The only last suggestion from me is that it is probably wiser NOT to keep this 10+ thread long record of your failing to read even if the same writing has been provided to you for a million times, and your failing to understand meanings of basic English words and also being reluctant to learn. I understand you don’t play ranked xD. It is fine, you don’t need to be good competitively, you should play whatever you enjoy, that’s the point of gaming. But you do not bash other people’s gaming choice…for what? Do other people playing ranked games really hurt you that much lmao
And on top of that this whole ranked vs unranked debate is not even relevant to this thread…
Balancing of stats, QoL in UI or matchmaking do not affect my game choice.
Removing stuff does.
I don’t “bash” people when they want adjustments in balancing or other QoL. Sometimes I even join them.
But if you tell me I’m not allowed to use certain units or cards in any mode anymore just because you cannot beat it in your gameplay, aka REMOVING stuff, then I’m affected by such choice and I have every reason to bash it.
And 90% of such opinions come from ranked.
I completely agree. They should at least hide ranked score to remove the stress for some players. The only issue would be unable to know if you’re going to be playing against someone in a lobby who is REALLY GOOD at the game.
That will hardly happen because that’s how gaming companies make you stick to their games.
I mean even in games that are not competitive at all, like co-op games, you still have people complaining their teammates with poorer skills and fewer efforts scoring higher than them. As long as there is a visible score. This is humanity.
