I could be misinterpreting what I saw (because I didn’t understand anything said in the video), but the places that produce hunting units reminded me of the Charrúa mechanic from Age of the World.
I’ve being enjoying the mess that people here have already foreseen long ago.
Then suddenly someone made me realize, they lied to us, betrayed us, gaslit us, so that they can focus their efforts on making….more and bigger BS for the other games.

All these for such an anti-climatic ending. It makes me sad.
Running out of ideas yet they refuse to add Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, Siam, Phillipines, Nubia, Zimbabwe and some possible civs from america and the Pacific
My brother, nothing would make us happier. As a loyal AOE3 fan, I cried when they announced the game wouldn’t be receiving any more content. But seeing the current state of the series, I’d honestly prefer they leave our game as it is, while it’s still worthy.
I’d rather receive nothing than the abominations these people make. If they don’t respect the greatest game they have, I can’t even imagine what they’d do to my AOE3 if they make a bad decision.
At least it will bring assets that could be used in a cool way by modders/mapmakers. Other than that, it’s a disaster.
If I could make one counterpoint, I haven’t been playing much since it got canceled (edit: maybe not at all? Knowing nothing is coming is rough), but some of the bugs are really bad (perhaps fatal given sufficient time). We really need a bug fix patch but I doubt we’ll get one.
One big one is people have found a way to basically crash the game at will. OOS was horrible on Legacy, and from what I’ve heard it’s basically back…
If I’m not mistaken, I think he’s from Poland. You can imagine how angry he was. However, I think he only “deserved” a temporary ban, not a permanent one.
Edited: Indeed, his profile says he is from Poland.
Yup. Here, official discord, even on social media. The studio is rapidly banning people.
Just proves that we were right about WE and their ilk the whole time
Unfortunately, yes. Yes it does.
WE has always been a small number of hardworking enthusiasts that don’t have much weight, coupled with a very short-sighted, tone-deaf, out-of-touch management, and horrible CM crew that matches their stupidity.
I think you mean Forgotten Empires is a small group of hardworking enthusiasts
I include the studios managed by WE, so yes.
II would never, ever, get axed
It would be AoM or III
Take my words!
Aom or 4 you mean?
I’d say AOM will. But who knows, 4 is on a deadend tech stack like 3 so maybe aomr will survive.
AoM
Never mentioned IV
IV is going to keep supported on Esports and content
In fact, another DLC is coming this fall!
A DLC coming didn’t prevent AOE3 from getting axed.
