Aoe4 event but aoe2 no

Aoe4 get new event to get icon player, but more than a year AOE did not, while AOE4 get 2 time aizzz it is priority for Aoe4?

There haven’t been events for aoe2 for a few years, I think they prioritize dlc and other general graphical improvements, like castles, UUs

I prefer they work on substantial things, player icons and events don’t do much for me

I think the budget to do that was over 2 years ago in AoE2.

While AoE4 either still have budget for that or every new season they introduce those thing by default.
