AOE4 on my new Asus Oled monitor 27 inch: appreciation Thread

I just bought this new monitor on amazon italy because there was installments paymentand games look incredibile.

So i also bought the new AOE4 DLC and graphic on this monitor are incredible, especially for terrains, reflections and waters (also trees are beautiful).

Also colours seem more realistic (look at the trebuchets on Templar castles).

I think Forgotten Empires made an incredible work with Templar civilization and i love it. It’s original and units are really cool.

But what i would like to see are improved textures (4k resolution or FHD resolution) for unit and weapons. Relic already made it with terrains, mountains and water during season V.

I made some critics in the past but game is improving a lot in the last months so, well done developers.
Only Relic can drastically improve their Engine so i really hope that next big DLC that will be developed by Relic (as Forgotten confirmed ont month ago) will introduce new graphic options and unlocked camera zoom, to see battles more close.
The next DLC will probably be launched this autumn so if Relic will have been spent a part of this development period (almost two years since the Sultan’s Ascend) also to improve the other graphic aspects we could have the best AOE game in our hands.

I’ll take some 4k videos on maximum details tomorrow.

I hope you enjoy with these new screenshots

Looks great! I play at 1440p, and I really enjoy the visuals this game has. The appearance reminds me of board games or dioramas.

Spectacular!

Let us know in six months if it has image retention.

Ok, but i Don’t think so because this monitor has a lot of features to preserve the monitor itself.

Anything other than pixel-shift?

Because I love OLED’s and would love to get one for a gaming monitor.

But I play a lot of the same three or four games (especially AOE4) and I would think the burn-in risks would be high.

No risks or really minimum risks with new OLED monitors. Asus or alienware are the best for the 27 inch.

immagini impressionanti e molto belle. Age of Empires 4 ha apportato molti miglioramenti e posso dire senza timore di sbagliarmi che è il miglior RTS attualmente disponibile.

Yes, developers introduced many improvements. Now, i Hope for 4k textures for all models and weapons.
