i played the game.

It is unfinished.

  1. No map selection
  2. Units are clunky and pathing horrible
  3. game is slower than AOE 2 that is already slow
    4.Counters are too pronounced
    5 . mechanics are just fidly and overcomplicated without reason

This game must be fixed because ATM AOE II just does everything better

Because AOE2 players have too many excuses not to try a new game, but AOE4 is almost following most characteristic from AOE2.

What’s even the point of this comment? So AoE2 is doing much better than the vast majority of games. Cool, that’s awesome for AoE2, but what does that have to do with AoE4 here?

i read somewhere that the gamepass - steam ratio is like 55% - 45% , i don’t know if that’s true thought.

Even so, it still does not take into account people who buy directly from Microsoft store without game pass. We won’t know true numbers unless devs post it them selves.

You can select maps in custom games as well as in single player skirmish. Gameplay is also faster than age 2 tbh. more engagements earlier in the game.

Nothing wrong with this. Better to be more pronounced than not noticeable at all. Counters are a crucial element in RTS games. Without counters, gameplay becomes static and solely based around specific unit types.

Mechanics are normal. Hardly any different from any other RTS game.

I smell BS.

15bow 15 pik 2 ram under my opp TC in 9 min don’t seem “slow” to me and from what i know, you can’t do that in aoe2. But some maps are super boring to play indeed (and super imba/rdm)

they seem to use games/day rather than concurrent numbers. they dont seem to have any. activision blizzard != valve

why do u even compare numbers with 60$ against free game?

PS imagine aoe4 zoom would be higher than aoe2 - that’s will be Hype.
Not comparison between new game vs 20 year old game.
