I hope they still donā€™t have castles and that the AoE1 units have not been replaced with reskinned AoE2 ones?

I wonder how they will solve pierce armor system. In age 1 its separate tech shield but in age 2 armor both gives melee and pierce. Also in age 1 arrows donā€™t get any bonus damage beside alchemy. Which makes me wonder is it still going to be wood upgrades give range and alchemy gives +1 pierce damage or they change system to age 2 system and have to rebalance all pierce armor system too. I kind of hope it will remain Age 1 system so it will not end up like age 2 clone in ancient times.

Ok, so we wonā€™t get confusing stuff like the hoplite line just having its skin used on AoE2ā€™s spearmen line (with the spearmen line stats and training conditions)?

Yeah,the skins are from AoE 1 but the gameplay pace is from AoE 2ā€¦

We donā€™t know yet the pace. Just a confirmed port of AOE I DE to AOE II DE
