AotG crashes a lot D3D12

While playing Arena of the Gods, I get constant crashes:

I am on the latest available patch and my drivers are all up to date.

post your HW setup or dxdiag log. From what i have seen here is that most people with crashes playes on GPUs below minimal spec.

I really don’t think this game needs more than 8GB of VRAM and 32GB of RAM but okay, here you go:
DxDiag.txt (111.9 KB)

Your spec should indeed be enough. But we dont have a crystal ball here to find out your spec, hence why i asked. I have seen people trying to play it on integrated Intel cards… thats ok for the old version definetely not for this one.

Have you been doing anything specifc during the crashes? Like in the past it was crashing when placing hesperides tree for some people.

Have you tried verifying the game files?

No, it just crashes randomly without any logic.
I thought it is due to recording setting being enabled. And I have disabled it, played almost 15 games without a crash, and just when I thought that is the issue, and came here to post it, it crashed again, so I’m back at the beginning…
I wish devs included some logs or something so we can troubleshoot this faster.
Every time it happens I get the bugsplat report, and I send all files, but I am not sure if that helps them at all.

It happened to me 5-6 times and I stopped playing online !
I discovered why this happens and I even sent pictures and an explanation several times…\

Pozdrav batara !

I’m having the same issue semi-frequently. My PC clears the benchmark tests easily. It seems that this error happens more frequently whenever there is Gaia lush on the map.

I have contacted NVIDIA, they told me to contact my motherboard brand which is ASUS, so I am waiting to hear from them lol.
Make sure your BIOS is updated, and I don’t mean automatic update. I thought mine was updated, but it was from 2020 and auto updated didn’t show new versions, so when I went to ASUS site, I found out they posted many versions since then so I updated to the latest.
On top of that I have temporarily replaced my two RAM sticks (2x16) to 1x16 from my friend, and I had no crashes since then.
Will keep playing for a few days and hopefully I won’t see that error again.

If everything is okay I will report back, and I will test with my own RAM sticks, but they passed all the tests for many hours and there wasn’t any problem.

regarding the RAM sticks - were they placed in correct slots? Also older Ryzen CPUs were very VERY picky about the RAMs and their frequency, especially if more than one stick was inserted and XMP applied.

I never applied XMP, and two RAM sticks went to their respective slots as I only have 2 available slots on my motherboard.
You think Intel CPUs are better?

given the most recent batch of Intel problems (13th and 14th gen degradation, Core 2xx poor gaming performance), I am not so sure I would get an Intel cpu nowadays. Altough I am sure Ryzen have also their share of problems.

Over the years the Intel CPUs were always the more stable ones though. I had some old Core Duo, then 2500K, 8600K and now 13600K and never had a slightest issue with them. If Intel doesnt improve next one may be team Red’s Ryzen though unless they do well in next gen.
