IDK if that means, bugs will be adressed in later patches, or a later version of the PUP will have them, or they just don’t know yet which bugs they want to advertise as fixed, so will do so later??? IDK.
probably what you said about the later part. I feel they kinda hit a plateau with bug fixing with so many things still left, and melee pathing going backwards again etc.
wish list for fixes just off top of my head
vills no longer go idle where theres plenty of room to walk when tasked walking from 1 location to the next
miners no longer go idle and block more miners
pathing around building to build take the shorter path instead of going around all the other way
UI actually work 100% of the time when selected and not having to reselect for UI to re-appear
more crash/desync bug fixes
finally fixing the teleport bug
fix what they claimed “supported” features for mods in their official patch releases
fix like 50+ reported bugs that has plagued the modding scene
This is the single most critical bug now. They should fix it ASAP
Such a meh change. Mongols lancer power spike won’t be affected at all. The reason Mongols plagued the ladder is mainly them having access to lancers. The HP bonus is just a bonus. Come on devs, at least put it behind a UT.
So yes and no. 8hp one way or another I don’t think will really make any difference. What I think the big difference is that in feudal age there will be no hp bonus for scouts. (EDIT - I’m a dummy and hp bonus never applied to scouts, only LC and Hussar. A lot of the subsequent paragraph is based on me being dumb. I’ve been under the weather so I’m going to blame that.) Beyond the hunt bonus and subsequent fast uptime, mongol scout rush would be generic in feudal.
I really don’t know how to feel about it. Mongols have 30% hp on scouts just seems so integral to their identity. I’m not opposed to a numbers tweak. the hunt bonus going from 50% to 40% was fine. But just getting rid of it entirely in feudal…I don’t like the sound of it. if they said the bonus was going to be 20%/25%/30% I wouldn’t care. Even 10%/20%/30% if mongols are simply toooo good in feudal I could maybe understand, but I don’t think that’s the big problem.
Agreed, this and not mongol feudal age seems to be the main problem, and this seems to not do much while also having a lot of collateral damage. I will say that SL are relatively weak to archers given their low pierce armor, so the extra hp does help mitigate their primary weakness, and fast uptimes help too. But generally I agree. the Mongol castle age SL is where mongols are just too good. 8hp I don’t think is going to make a difference. I think hiding +30% hp for steppe lancers behind a UT would make a much bigger difference.

Scouts were never affected by the bonus. The bonus kicks in only when the player researches LC.
Pretty sure this one is from reddit. The consensus was that it was a bad change because it cripples the bonus itself, and doesn’t affect steppe lancers that much.
Like people suggested on reddit, It’d be better if they revert the change to their original +30%, remove steppe lancers from the bonus, and add the same effect to the castle age UT (+30% to steppe lancers, but make the tech a little bit cheaper and faster to research).
That way it would mirror how the light cavalry bonus works.
Very much needed buffs for these guys, but what I’m now scared is that Khmer battle eles will outrun xbows as before the 2020 nerfs and that’s a huge deal in TGs.

Good but where is the land buff, Armenians are OP on water sure, but they need help for land maps.
Its clearly to push the usage of Rathas now, which is fine, also a good nerf to the already broken deathball of Elite Ele Archers (though I would prefer to remove the P a i k s effect from them).

agreed. The real cost and delay is the castle itself. I think it could be pretty cheap and quick and still serve it’s purpose. And I think it’d be better to err on the side of under-nerfing. the cost and research time can be increased if the nerf isn’t quite enough. Half reverting a buff/nerf tho is annoying. I prefer the incremental changes.
This just made my Melanesians civ concept OP (extra ship bonus damage + Siege Engineers). I guess I’ll have to take it away.
A good start, but not good enough. I would prefer the naval specialty be removed from the Armenians altogether and replaced with better cavalry and a siege specialty, but I suppose that that’s too much to ask.
I would prefer this be moved to a Castle Age UT, and then Nomads made a civ bonus.
This is basically the old Korean bonus from HD. I figured they would bring it back eventually.
Just limit the discount to barrack units, excluding skirm, slingers and kamayuk. Byz and goths do have discount but not FU (only Byz skirm is FU) while Incas get FU and better version. (Slingers>hc, kamayuk> halbs)
