maybe not maybe yes. but everyone sees that they are not releasing new updates for the game. What is happening now? I looked at the updates of other aoe games, and I can say that there are much more updates than other aoe games. almost everyone thinks that the developers simply do not care about the game. They are partly right because there are no updates. in my opinion, they are busy with other aoe games. maybe now they are doing it so that the developers only deal with other aoe games. But I think they will also slowly notice that they almost do not care about the aoe3 game. Although they should have noticed it a long time ago. But I don’t think they would just leave aoe3 there, I think let’s be positive, I don’t think they would just leave such a large community. they can’t say that they don’t have ideas because there are so many sites where you can find great ideas. ATTENTION! This is not a post where I’m saying bad things about the developers or anything. I’m just stating my opinion. Thanks for reading this!
So, its dead from the devs pov
Its still alive from my pov, since i play it regulary with friends and have a good time
Yes. but the there isnt any updates :I
Yes, they also said, they will not make any new updates. Its very sad i wish i could tell you smth more possitive
Didn’t you read the message where they canceled the DLC? They don’t say it verbatim, but it’s clear they’ve abandoned the game and we won’t get any more patches or DLC. The only thing they promised was to keep the servers and customer service running.
the worst decision they made.
Is there any chance we can grow the community or at least hold it from here to 2026?
If we can, we can prove we are worth a minimal investment for an update, at least ANNUALLY
(Which is the best case-scenario thus far)
Absolutely my good man. ESOC just had their best tournament in years. Our community can absolutely continue on, and not just exist but grow!
You haven’t noticed, but they’ve already made it clear they have zero projects for AOE3. As you’ve noticed, we’ve been without a decent patch for over 15 months, so you’ll realize they don’t even have support for AOE3 updates. It goes without saying what I think about the directive, but if I wanted to believe in something, I think there’ll be a patch once a year, which will be on the anniversary. For now, things are going terribly because they don’t even try to answer the questions or at least apply logic to the numbers.
And they wrote the most disgusting end of support letter I’ve ever seen: it’s not even an end of support letter. They bury the message deeeeeeep in another message with careful choice of words. Dumped its players in the most indecent way and all they cared was how to put more powder on their faces.
Yes, there’s always the possibility that they’ll come back sometime around 2030 or 2035 to relaunch AoE 3 DE with a different name and try again… if AoE 5 becomes colonial, forget about AoE 3 forever, since they’ll put all the resources there…
Yes, if they wanted to make it worse than they did, they wouldn’t have succeeded… that’s why I’m going to make my own unofficial DLC for October…
we’ll be watching
Are you tired of Forgotten Empires ignoring you and are angry that they cancelled the Baltic DLC? Well you’re in luck, because this October a new unofficial DLC is coming for the 5th anniversary…Return of the Kings, which brings the legendary campaigns of Pachacuti, Moctezuma and Almeida from Age of Empires II DE to Age of Empires III DE so you can fight playing with the Inca, Aztec and Portuguese civs that never received campaigns in the base game…coming soon on this forum lol…
