I saw the big sad news recently and wonder if the game will ever get any updates in the future. Is Microsoft abandoning the game entirely or it is getting the Starcraft treatment that it will only receive balance patch once a while but no more new content.
It is best for us all to assume that this is a total abandonment until proven otherwise.
If there was any professionalism and any intention to show that they care about the community, there would have been some kind of balance update / bug fix patch along with the rug-pull message as at least a way to end support of the game on good terms.
The AOE3 era’s background deals with the early to late modern periods, so I believe that the additional scope of the new civilization will be very small. Because the Age of Discovery declined in the 18th century, and if you look at its history, it was a once-loved dream for the West, but it was a terrible history that is still heartless and unforgettable to the East..
Has there been any example of officially ditching a game then picking it up later? I wonder because the ego of the corpo won’t allow it, as it is almost equivalent to apology
They really did it in a very unprofessional manner from every perspective…most studios would silently stop the support unless they messed up so hard, so that they won’t look dumb when they resume.
The developers has aoe2 new dlc after completion,It’s time to aoe3de return to the centralized update and balance patch
No, they said they would only keep the servers and move to Retold and 4 for the new DLCs…
Of course, that’s also the point… it was the period of greatest European supremacy in all of history, the civs to the west and east of Europe were devastated in the case of America and humiliated in the case of Asia…
