:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

Since a 2022 build, if you press one of the arrow keys and then press enter, the chat bar is out of focus of keyboard; you can’t type, nor close the chat bar using Esc or Enter keys. The only way to fix it is by moving the mouse cursor.

It becomes noticeable when 1) you have used arrows to control the camera and then you want to type something, or 2) every time you want to use arrows to move the text cursor (the flashing horizontal line) between letters to fix type errors.

Interesting behavior: Chat’s text cursor flashing rhythm while moving the mouse cursor, shows like it continuously restores the keyboard focus to chat every time the mouse cursor traverses the distance of a pixel.

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Begin a single/multiplayer game
  2. Press an arrow key
  3. Press enter to open chat bar, and try to type

or

  1. Begin a single/multiplayer game
  2. Press Enter to open chat bar
  3. Type a few characters, and try to move text cursor more than one characters to the left, by using left arrow key

:arrow_forward: EXPECTED RESULT

You are supposed to be able to type, regardless if you previously have pressed an arrow key. That was the behavior before.

Indeed this has been an issue since long ago, the team is aware of the issue.
