At least 1 player disconnects in team games, making them unplayable

At what point in the match did you disconnect? Are you able to reproduce the issue while playing on the Enhanced Logging Build?

At this point, we’re looking for logs from users who experienced the issue firsthand. While logs from others in the match provide some information, they are not as insightful as logs from the individuals who actually disconnected. =)

The match disconnected while I was going up to imperial. I alt-tab to find that my internet was offline for less 20 seconds then my net reconnected but the game did not. It kept showing attempting to reconnect to no avail I had exit the game after waiting for 3 mins.

Immediately after I disconnected I headed to device manager to double check my network card power saving option and found it on. I checked it off instantly because I always check those off for all my devices. Do you think that could be the culprit?

I think I can I will try. The logs I sent were used while on enhanced logging, right?

The VERBOSELOGGING command is no longer used, as the new Enhanced Logging Build provides more information in a more reliable way. That’s why we recommend that users experiencing regular disconnects now use that client, as it will help us determine why they might be experiencing those issues.

ohhhh shoooot! Very sorry i didn’t see that. I will grind more team games tomorrow and hopefully i’ll trigger some disconnections

It was the first game of the day. One of our teammates disconnected around 10-20min into the game. Then I saw a “trying to reconnect” message after the game ended :rofl:

Sure! It doesn’t hurt to drown the team with information! It may highlight the circumstances of the game leading up to the disconnect!

Fresh from the oven, my game exited at initiation of a 3v3 ranked screen for no reason while i was chatting with friends on steam group.

Hey.

I have had 6 disconnects in the last 48 hours in 2v2 team games. Once, myself, the other times my teamate or a player on the other team.

What information do you need? Is this being tracked as a known issue?

I can’t remember a day that i didn’t have this issue in the last couple of months, and yet it’s not even in the known issues list?! i mean i am sure a lot of people will agree it’s the biggest issue they have with the game, it’s really making team games unplayable that’s not exaggerating , after the server maintenance, it’s almost happening every single game, “lost connection trying to reconnect” internet is working perfectly and it never reconnects. How much more time do we have to wait?

yea my team and I have decided to take a break from aoe2 until the multiplayer is fixed. VERY concerning that it isn’t on the know issues list. It’s the single most important thing they need to fix.

GMEvangelos I want to use the advanced logging build in order to be able to send you the information that you need. But I see here you say there will be a performance hit. As it is, I can only run the game at lowest settings scraping past the performance test with like 1% margin. If I use the logging build will I even be able to play online?

Just wanted to bump this because it has made the game unbearable the past month. I exclusively play 2v2 with a friend and it takes us ~20-30 minutes to get a stable game. We find a game and then experience constant drops, party issues, someone getting dropped at start of game, etc.

Ever since DE came out this has been an issue, but it has never been as bad as it is now. My friends and I just spent 40 minutes trying to get into a game and got 7-8 disconnects in a row. They happen anytime between finding a match and the start of it, so at least that’s a bit of an improvement from the mid-game dc’s a while ago…

Game dropped 2 minutes in. This happens a lot with our games. This is my first post, I will keep the enhanced logging build and post all my following games that drop.

    During the match, like 3 minutes into the game.
  • Was it your FIRST match of the day?
    Third game of the night, 2 games before was casual lobbies. First game my brother dropped. Did not have the enhanced logging build yet…
  • WHAT STEPS did you take leading up to the disconnect?
    Shift clicked my scout in a large circle around my base to explore the fog.

    Few minutes into the game.

    Like 4th game of the evening.

    Moving scout around. Normal right clicking.

This bug is turning me mad. I lost connection even though I have decent internet connection. I played 5 team games today and in 2 of these I lost connection and in 1 game my teammate lost connection. Why aren’t they fixing it already :rage: :rage:
