Actually from StarCraft the first is the best in the series, this opposite to a game like Warcraft where the last version with Frozen Throne expansion is the best. While MS being busy with AOEO and trying to implement MOBA elements into it, Valve revived the death Warcraft RTS franchise into their famous MOBA game DOTA (at v2 by now). At sometimes more than 1 million players online during weekends and more than 12 miljoen unique player id’s.
I wonder where their profit comes from, maybe someone can explain that part more to me. My best guess is all those little micro transactions, live tournaments with high value prices, sponsoring and all the season passes?
