Bad game performance after march update | Benchmark drops from 1100 to 795

Issue: After the march update my game performance incl. FPS dropped from 80 FPS to 25 FPS. Also the benchmark test shows a decrease from 1100 points to 795 points. I have not change anything at my system configuration and it makes the game for me unplayable.

Reproduction Steps:

Here’s how to reproduce the problem:

  1. Start the game after march update
  2. the main menu will have a bad performance
  3. the game will also have a bad performance

I have similar issues since the recent update. Before it was fine, nothing else has change on my computer

You should post your hardware specifications, so that developers get an idea, which hardware is struggling with game now.

I posted in the steam forum my specs on a similar post. I think someone more or less responded there, so I won’t post here again for now

I solved my issue by restarting my laptop. After that AoE runs like before the update.

It seems that beeing in standby or energy mode for a while and then starting AoE make some trouble.

Hope you guys will also find a solution for your issues.
