Balance suggestions for upcoming update

Cheaper upgrades directly translates into more units taht benefit from those upgrades.

I do agree with that. Both the CR and HCR can perhaps receive +20 HP. The same can be done to the ICR and Knight line as well. What do you think?

i haven’t seen any balance notes, my guess is this update just brings new maps.

Patches usually drop a week after a server maintenance. The last server maintenance was on 7/7/2020.

I expect the patch to drop today on 14/7/2020.

Hopefully, this patch will include the path finding fix and lots of balance changes so that we don’t need any others for some time.

Yea also the announcement two weeks ago meant that the patch made a good progress ready to be released tomorrow (or today depending your hour).

Camels are an only cavalry counter, they would be OP if they could trade better against pikes.

So you basically want to revert back some of the nerfs steppe lancer got a few month ago, +30hp is way too much, you would have a 130hp unit for 55f/35g. They could get +10hp/+1 pierce armor as elite, would be reasonable.

Cav archers don’t need this, they need less frame rate, microing them is a pain in the ass.

Ethiopians drush FC would be OP

Genoese crossbow serve his purpose by being an excellent counter to any cavalry unit, they don’t need a buff, they’re situational.

dude cmon 11, they would have instantly 7 pierce armor hussars in imp, and let’s not forget the 6 pierce armor knights in castle age, they would shred into pieces any archer civ and never die to TCs when raiding.

Militia spam in dark age would be too strong and goth don’t need cheaper infantry, they need something else like a small eco bonus.

Keshiks are fine, they train from castle and the elite upgrade is costly.

team bonus should be the free lama when starting the game

Leitis are not that strong, i don’t get it, it’s never used and you wanna nerf them 11

turtle ships definitely need a buff, but not that much, you can’t reduce upgrades costs and buff the unit stats. Plus buffing archers so they have 11 attack is too strong, they would be OP against cavalry.

Portuguese need something to be stronger on water, +2 atack on caravels would make them strong against any type of ship. they’re weaker then galleons against fast fire ship because their bonus against ships is only 7 compared to the 11 galleons have. What they could need is a wider projectile like the ethiopians got a patch or two ago. This would make them stronger is certain situations when ennemy ships are not stacking but surrounding your ships, making them weaker.

But you never mass them. Better training time is a must but +1 range and +1 attack are unneccesary

Ask pros. Leitis is completely broken. They are always used in Lithuanian army compositions if you have Castles. They are better and cheaper Paladins.

With all the balancing going on in this game with the DE release its time to balance the Cataphract price/stats, I have Three options to make them viable: Anyone who says they are not expensive is silly no matter how you look at it. For equal resources you can make 50 (fifty) Hand Cannoniers for the same price as 1 (one) fully upgraded Elite Cataphract, just let that sink in for a moment (including buildings).

Option 1: Give Cataphracts all logistica upgrades when they research Elite tech

Option 2: Give cataphracts + 20 HP (bloodlines amount) to cataphracts with Logistica (total of 170 HP - still less than paladins)

Option 3: Make Elite and or Logistica cheaper

Reasons: its so expensive to be worthwhile if you are going to sink in all those resources including making casltes, upgrades ect it should be worth it.

yeah a lot of people are quoting lith 1v1 win rates, but i would love to see their tg win rates

Don’t know why everyone complain about Leitis. Yeah they are OP.
Mongols have OP Mangudai and nobody complains.
Keshiks are much cheaper Knights that producing gold.

across every gaming system ive played ive seen people that dont understand stats say this
 win rate isnt the governing factor, but it helps give a statistical representation when used in conjuction with other data

agreed, although people do also complain about the mangudai they dont auto win games

Just because we have broken units, it doesn’t mean we should continue adding more. And I think all of those 3 units should be rebalanced. Leitis and keshiks need a cost increase, while mangudais need a straight up nerf to their anti-siege bonus, at the very least. Though probably not many people will agree with me I guess

I’d really love to see britons nerfed tbh. +1 range in castle, cheaper TC’s, bonus production in ranges. Too strong :confused:
they should remove the bonus range in castle age and just give them the +1 in imperial age and reduce yeomen cost a bit.
